As the founder of The Quisenberry Law Firm, Mr. Quisenberry has more than twenty-five years of experience trying cases involving insurance bad faith, business torts, construction defect and consumer rights litigation.
Mr. Quisenberry is certified as a Civil Trial Lawyer by the National Board of Trial Advocacy and is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). He is a member of the Consumer Attorneys of California (CAOC), Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles (CAALA), Public Justice (PJ) formerly known as Trial Lawyers for Public Justice (TLPJ), Los Angeles County Bar Association, Association of Business Trial Lawyers and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America.
Mr. Quisenberry has authored several publications and legal articles to help consumers understand the legal process. Several of his books include "Evaluating and Litigating Insurance Bad Faith—Including New Developments Through 2002" (2003), "Year 2000 in Review: New Cases and Developments in Insurance Coverage and Bad Faith" (2001), "Earthquake Litigation After Quackenbush and SB 1899" (2000), "Evaluating, Litigating and Trying Construction Defect Cases" (2000), and "Evaluating and Litigating Insurance Bad Faith Cases" (2000). Articles that he has written include Can Employers Preclude Class Actions Through Mandatory Arbitration Agreements That Are Silent as to Whether Classes Are Permitted?, Forum magazine (June 2005), Status of Class Action Waivers in California after California Supreme Court's Decision in Discover Bank v. Superior Court (Boehr), Forum magazine (July/August 2005), Attorney’s fees: How to get paid in an insurance bad faith lawsuit, Advocate magazine (May 2005), Deserving and Undeserving Plaintiffs in Insurance Bad Faith Litigation and Legal Audits, Billing Guidelines, and the Independent Counsel. He is also a frequent speaker on insurance and business litigation.
Education:
Mr. Quisenberry earned his J.D. in 1980 from the University of California, Los Angeles. Before pursuing his law degree, Mr. Quisenberry served in the United States Navy, completing two tours as a decorated fighter pilot in Vietnam. He received his M.A. in Comparative Literature from Occidental College, and also completed doctoral work in Comparative Literature at the University of Heidelberg in Germany. He earned his bachelor's degree in Engineering from the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, in 1965 and completed his naval career as a Commander, U.S.N.R.
